He Believes in my Utopian World |
|
I've already battled with the Bb. Paniqui issue in my head, with my husband and in my head again. The battle lives on and I remind myself that I shouldn't give up. He asked me to stay on because he believes.
He believes in my utopian world where women will be seen FIRST for their intellect and their talent....oh she happens to be pretty is just a follow up sentence.
He believes in my utopian world that women will not have to choose between children/family and careers.
He believes in my utopian world that men aren't scared of vasectomies and that some women will not have to go through major surgery, hormone wreaking meds etc.. for family planning measures.
He believes in my utopian world where the church will admit that sex isn't just for baby making but it's to express love, intimacy and strengthen the bond between two people.
He believes in my utopian world that women aren't mainly for baby making alone.
He believes in my utopian world that one day, people of my sort will not be thought of as 'going to hell'.
I believe in his utopian world where the government can provide socialized medical services.
I believe in his utopian world where the government can help gifted students in their education.
I believe in his utopian world where there is no red tape for LGU's especially when it's for a very good cause.
I believe in his utopian world where people will be chosen for position solely because of their capability, intelligence, education and history and do away with the 'kaibigan/kamaganak/tinulungan ako niyan sa eleksyon' reasoning.
I believe in his utopian world where people are going to be more forgiving of politicians whose hearts are truly for the service of the people.
I believe in his utopian world where the true voice of the people will be heard directly instead of being filtered by the bulong brigades.
We know that this may not happen while we are still alive but we'll continue to dream about it. Our children or grandchildren may benefit from this.
