2012 Body Plate for Tricycle Drivers, Implemented
Municipal Ordinance 2011-007, motioned by councilor Rosauro V. Tayag, has been approved, and is effective 2012.

The new ordinance is “an ordinance requiring all motorized tricycles which are legally granted with MTOP by this municipality to secure a reflectorized body plate from the treasury office and shall thereto steadily fasten on the sidecar’s front exterior body panel”

The municipality currently has 3,150 registered motorized tricycle numbers. The operators of these tricycles have to present an official receipt or certificate of registration and a Motorized Tricycle Operator’s Permit (MTOP) to be able to avail a refelctorized body plate.

The reflectorized body plate cost two hundred and seventy-five pesos (P 275.00), which is valid for one year, from the issuance. The body plate will be validated for the following years through issuance of printed validation stickers, which cost ten pesos (P 10.00) each, affixed to the registration plate.

Any operator/driver found violating provisions of the ordinance would be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand pesos (P 1000.00).
