The FUN RUN FOR A CAUSE, a joint project of the Local Government Unit of  Paniqui with Rotary Club of Northern Tarlac and Rotary Club of Paniqui, held last Saturday, January 28, 2012, was a success!

FUN RUN FOR A CAUSE was joined by more than 750 runners, bringing with them toys, foods and used clothes, in accordance to the aim of the said project, which is to give help to those who are in need.

The different organizations and communities from Paniqui and neighboring towns joined the Fun Run For A Cause. Headed by Mayor Miguel Dors Rivilla with the employees of LGU Paniqui and the Rotary Club of Paniqui also participated in the said activity. Even elementary, high school, and college students from different schools in Paniqui engaged in the project.

The 5km run started in the Paniqui Town Hall heading to Poblacion Sur and then to Poblacion Norte, passing the Paniqui South Central Elementary School and the Town Plaza, going straight to Estacion and finally, back to Paniqui Town Hall.

The first 200 runners were awarded with medals, and the rest of the runners were given certificates of participation in the Fun Run For A Cause.
