Paniqui Updates 11/04/09

November 04 2009 - Later this evening will be the Torch Parade and Welcome Party of the 32nd Provincial Jamboree of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines of Tarlac at the Don Tirso Rivilla Camp in barangay Samput. More than 1,000 boy scouts from all over the province came this morning to setup their camps. The jamboree is until November 08, 2009.

Ongoing are skills training on Bartending, Food Processing, Basic Computer, Welding, Massage Therapy, Practical Electricity, Cellphone Repair, and Call Center Agent being held at the municipal hall. The project is being led by Gov. Vic Yap in cooperation with the TESDA and LGU Paniqui, Tarlac led by Mayor Miguel Rivilla. The trainings will be until December as each training are being provided to several batches.

Last October 29, 2009 was the Distribution of Certificates for the participants in the Basic Linux Desktop Course at the SB Hall, Paniqui, Tarlac.

There were 18 participants, all students from the St. Paul Colleges, that took the course. Present during the affair was Mayor Miguel Rivilla, Pastor Mario Gana of St. Paul Colleges, and Vice Mayor Gin Linsao.

19 October 2009 - 36 single parents received their Certificates of Completion for taking up the Basic Computer Course administered by the ICT Section of the LGU of Paniqui, Tarlac.

The graduates were very thankful to the municipal government for the launching the said training and they are hopeful that more trainings will be conducted to other members of the marginalized sector.

Present during the affair were Mayor Rivilla, Mrs. Anna Varona Rivilla, and Vice Mayor Gin Linsao.
