Mass wedding, etc. for the Love Month
Mass WeddingThe LGU of Paniqui, Tarlac joins the celebration of the love month of February as it set to conduct various activities that are sure to tingle the hearts of every Paniquenian.

Last February 6, 2009, the fourth version of Kadugo Mo, Buhayin Mo (Blood Drive Campaign) project was held at the covered court at back of the Municipal Town Building.  A total of 116 Paniquenians donated their blood in the project which was being led by the LGU in cooperation with the Philippine National Red Cross - Tarlac Chapter.

Tomorrow, February 12 till February 13, the IT office will conduct a Libreng Tawag project which will enable Paniquenians to call their relatives abroad for free.  Each caller may call their relatives for 3 to 8 minutes in all countries all over the world.  Calling stations will be put up at the lobby of the municipal hall from 9:00am to 4:30pm.

This Saturday on Valentine's Day, a Mass Wedding will be held at the said covered court with more than 80 couples to tie the knot with the sponsorship of Mayor Dors Rivilla.  The project is aimed at enticing couples, especially those who have been live-in partners for some time who don't have money to finance their marriage, to finally get married.  The mass wedding ceremony will be officiated by Mayor Miguel Rivilla with a director from the National Statistics Office - Region III as special guest.

The ceremonies will start at 8:30 am.

The activity also coincides with the National Registration Month initiative by the NSO.  There will also be mobile birth registrations in the following barangays with the corresponding dates: Balaoang (Feb. 17); San Juan de Milla (Feb. 19); Canan (Feb. 24); and Nipaco (Feb. 26).
