Info Drive on Solid Waste

The Local Government Unit of Paniqui, Tarlac led by Mayor Miguel "Dors" Rivilla in cooperation with the Philippine Business for Social Progress is currently conducting an Information Dissemination on Solid Waste Management for local barangay officials from August 16 - 17 2007.

The information dissemination campaign being held at the ABC Hall has Dr. Leodegardo M. Pruna, Volunteer Adviser of the Philippine Business for Social Progress, as main resource speaker together with Mr. Virgilio Ildefonso, Municipal Agriculturists and Engr. Maybelyn Casalamitao, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator.

The three speakers discussed the virtues of proper solid waste disposal and the relevant laws pertaining to it.

Mayor Rivilla in his welcome message stressed that "we are all responsible for the garbage we generate and we should act now before the impending problem gets worse".

Present were Punong Barangays and their Kagawad who are Chairpersons for the Committee and Environment and Sanitation.
