Jake Cuenca, star of Palos TV series, and Bangs Garcia will be in Paniqui to join the festivities in a variety show slated on March 16, 2008 at the Paniqui Auditorium.

Joining them are Jonalyn Viray, the girls of EB babes, and the showdown duo of Luningning and Mariposa of Wowowee.

The variety show which is brought by Mayor Rivilla and the Sangguniang Bayan members will start 8:00 pm.  Admission is free.

Another chess champion emerged from Barangay Coral as Heirry Manaloto swept all his chess games in the recent CLRAA Meet (held in Palayan City).  This gave him the opportunity to represent Region III at the Palarong Pambansa  in Puerto Princesa to be held within this year.

Heirry is a 10 year old, son of Mr. And Mrs. Richard Manatolo is a fifth grade student of the Paniqui South Central Elementary School and is being coached by Ms. Marites M. Bato.  

In his courtesy visit to the Office of the Mayor together with is father and his coach, Heirry was able to demonstrate his chess prowess as he had a one game friendly game with the sitekeeper.  Despite his young age, Heirry is already an advanced player who likes to play the Sicilian Opening on black and English Opening in white.  He idolizes current world chess champion, Viswanathan Anand.
