LGU sends personnel to IT Training
The local government unit of Paniqui, Tarlac will be sending two of its personnel to a Technical Training on Linux System Administration as part of eGovernance project in coordination with League of the Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP), Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), Mayors Development Center (MDC) and the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO).

The "eGovernance for Municipal Development" project (in which LGU Paniqui, Tarlac is chosen) as beneficiary aims to improve local governance, reduce cost of doing business and increase revenue generation by building the technical capacities of relevant staff in more than 40 municipalities in Luzon in the use of information and communications technologies (ICTs).

   Through a package of users’ and technical trainings, and advisory services, participating municipalities shall be assisted to implement an e-governance project using the 3 eLGU system application software (Real Property Tax System, Business Permit & License System and Treasury Operations Management System) and with the support of NCC personnel and Canadian e-governance experts.

    LGU - Paniqui shall be sending August Domingo (Assessor's Office) and Dave Asuncion (Office of the Mayor), both of which are also part of the team behind ePaniqui OnLine - the Official LGU and Community Website of Paniqui, Tarlac.

    The said technical training is on August 28 - September 01, and September 03 - September 07 at the Local Governance Academy in UP Los Banos, Laguna.

    The said eGovernance Project shall mostly utilize web-based and opensource softwares.  {mos_fb_discuss:5}
