True to his concern to the poor, especially with children, Mayor Miguel Rivilla together with MSWDO Silvia D. Soriano made rounds today to lead the implementation of the Supplemental Feeding Program for malnourished children in the barangays of Poblacion Norte, Carino, and Samput.

The yearly Supplemental Feeding Program which started August 02, 2007 and will end in September 15, 2007 benefitted a total of 157 pre-school malnourished children.  These children were identified in a previously conducted Operation Timbang program of the Municipal Health Office.

 Aside from the Supplemental Feeding Program, the young beneficiaries were dewormed while their parents were given with Parent Effectiveness Service by Day Care Workers.

 After the feeding program, the children will be again weighed for evaluation and future consideration for health programs for kids.

The children were served with nutritious food like champorado, noodles, milk flakes and sometimes, eggcaldo.

After this batch, LGU Paniqui will launch another feeding program for the other barangays starting September 17, 2007.
