Economic Goals and Objectives
GOALS & OBJECTIVES

  1. Increase economic opportunities of Paniquinians.
  2. To accelerate the growth of trade and services to generate employment.
  3. To sustain self-sufficiency in all food crops and to maintain the Municipality’s role as a major producer and domestic exporter  of Agri-products.
  4. Develop Paniqui into an investment area particularly in housing, small & medium scale industry, tourism facilities and others.
  5. To strengthen institutional development programs and related concerns among farmers association, and
  6. Improve operations of the Municipality’s own economic enterprises.
Sub-Sector – AGRICULTURE

Specific Objectives and Strategies

1.Improve farm practices by conducting soil analysis.
2.Introduce the use of organic fertilizer.
3.Increase production from 90 cavans/hectare to 130 cavans per hectare.
4.To introduce the adoption of BT corn and other high yielding varieties.
5.Construct Municipal Nursery for the production of fruit bearing/non-fruit bearing trees
6.Feed ingredients of livestock and poultry.
7.To increase backyard fish production.
8.To increase planting of more fruit bearing trees / non-fruit bearing trees

Sub-Sector – INFRASTRUCTURE & UTILITIES

Specific Objectives and Strategies

1.Around 10 km of farm to market road will be concreted every year
2.Around 3 km of farm to market road shall be re-gravelled every year
3.Around 2,372.33 Linear Meters of municipal drainage shall be concreted with concrete cover
4.Around 2,538 House Holds will be provided with electricity
5.Around two (2) Barangays every year will be served by the Paniqui Water District
6.Registered vehicles with route and station in Paniqui shall have its own parking spaces
